Next Meeting: Friday 11/18, 3:45-5pm — Stuart Warner

The next meeting of the Chicago Modern Philosophy Roundtable will be Friday November 18, 2016 from 3:45-5pm at Roosevelt University (downtown).  We’ll be discussing Stuart Warner (Roosevelt)’s paper “Devising Nature: An Essay on Descartes’ Discourse on Method”, which has been distributed via our email listserv.  (Email Kristen Irwin if you’d like a copy.)

The meeting will take place in room 720 of the Auditorium Building, at 430 South Michigan Avenue. There is parking on Congress Parkway between Michigan and Wabash, on the south side of the street. This lot can also be accessed on the east side of Wabash between Congress Parkway and Balbo. There are two other lots on Wabash between Congress Parkway and Van Buren. One can get a discounted rate by having the ticket stamped at the desk as one enters the building. Unless one has a Roosevelt ID, one needs a photo ID (preferably a driver’s license) to get in the building.

Roosevelt University is also easily accessible via public transit using the CTA Red Line (exit at the Jackson stop & walk southeast), the CTA Green Line (exit at the Adams-Wabash stop & walk south), or the CTA Brown/Pink/Orange/Purple lines (exit at the Washington Library-State/Van Buren stop & walk east-southeast).

We hope to see you there!
