Please join us for the first CMPR meeting of the 2016-2017 academic year! On Friday, September 30, from 3:45-5pm, we’ll be discussing a paper by Chris Martin (UW-Green Bay) defending an acosmist reading of Spinoza (there are no particulars) and drawing upon Spinoza’s platonism to explain why this isn’t such a bad thing 🙂 To receive a precirculated copy of the paper, please add yourself to the CMPR email list before September 22.
The meeting will take place in Room 530 of the Crown Center for the Humanities at Loyola University Chicago. Official parking information is here, and there is limited street parking along W Loyola Ave and neighboring streets, though public transit is the best option (CTA Red Line: Loyola).
We hope to see you there!
